The Blue Book of Bank Prices contains reports from
regression analysis to help you determine the expected market price
for bank services at different volume levels.

Phoenix-Hecht performed extensive linear regression analysis on
each of the services included in the Blue Book of Bank Prices.
As a result of the regression analysis, three factors were found
to be significant in predicting prices for any specific service:
- Volume
- Location of the corporation
- Total fees paid for all services

Pricing trends depict how the national average list price changed
since the base year. The index is calculated by comparing the list
price at a particular bank from one year to the next. The changes
for all banks are then averaged to arrive at the index value. Comparisons
of the base year to any other are direct.
Depth of the discount from list price and frequency with which
discounts are observed on statements are also reported.

Current year discount shows the relationship between frequency
of discount and depth of the discount.
